"Beef & Bacon Carbonara"

Beef & Bacon Carbonara

  • 1/2 lb Wahlburgers Ground Beef
  • 1/2 lb Wahlburgers Bacon, chopped
  • 1 lb spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Extra Parmesan cheese, for serving
  1. 1. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Brown the Meat: While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Wahlburgers Bacon and cook until it starts to crisp. Add the Wahlburgers Ground Beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  3. 3. Mix Eggs and Cheese: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with a pinch of salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper.
  4. 4. Combine: Return the skillet with beef and bacon to low heat. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine with the meat. Remove from heat, then quickly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta, stirring rapidly to combine. The residual heat will cook the eggs, creating a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. 5. Serve: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Season with additional black pepper to taste.
